September - May Schedule


SUNDAY: 

Choir ~ Each Sunday morning {September through May} at 8:45am the choir gathers to rehearse.  No previous experience is needed – just a love of singing and a desire to spread the joy of the Lord through song.

Sunday School ~ We offer classes for all ages: children, middle school, high school and adult.  Classes meet each Sunday morning at 9:30am to 10:15am. Everyone is welcome.

Nursery ~ A Nursery is provided for little ones infant through three years of age.  Our attendant has been with the church for a number of years and is very experienced in taking care of small children.  She is loved by all and very responsible.

Worship ~ We offer a more or less traditional worship service.  If you would like to see a sample of our Worship service,  please go to the section labeled Bulletin.  The service begins at 10:30 am.  We often take time to greet those around us and to make announcements.  The children join us for the first part of the service and then are dismissed to attend their own Jr. Church (ages 4-8 years).  A cry room with speakers is offered, so you can be a part of the service while also experiencing privacy. Traditional and contemporary hymns are sung and NIV and the Message are generally used for scripture. Communion is served the first Sunday of each month and all Believers are welcome to partake.

WEDNESDAY:

Free Dinner ~ We offer a free dinner Wednesday evenings during the school year. Please feel free to call the church office at 509-924-1234 ext. 1 if you have questions.  Each Wednesday at 6:00pm we meet for dinner and Bible Study.  The dinners range from simple soup and sandwiches to beef stroganoff; some nights are potluck dinner where you bring a dish to share.  Green salad, dessert and beverages are always provided.  

Sermon Study ~ Following dinner, a Sermon study is offered for those who wish to attend. The time frame is approximately 30 to 45 minutes.  If you are searching for Christian knowledge and applying it to your life, we invite you to join us and we will learn together.

Youth Group ~  Experienced leadership provides a variety of activities, learning opportunities and worship experiences for middle school and senior high young people. Meets at 6pm to 7:30pm with dinner.

Kid’s Club ~ Children Kindergarten (or 5 years) through 5th grade have their own special Bible study geared to a level they can understand.  Stories, crafts, games, and snacks are just a few of the fun things your child will experience in Kid’s Club.

Nursery ~ A Nursery is provided for little ones (0 to 4 years) with the same attendant who is in the nursery on Sundays.


WEEKLY:

Co-Ed Sports  ~ Offered on Thursday nights from 6:30-8:30pm. Anyone 13 years and older is invited to participate in a variety of sports and games.

Women’s study ~ Typically offered during the school year and on Sunday afternoons following worship service. Please call office for details.

MONTHLY:

American Baptist Women {ABW} ~ meet the third Wednesday of each month from September through May at 10am at the church.  The women get together to create various pieces of bedding which is donated to organizations such as Valley Partners and the Clothing Bank. Last year the women made 56 pieces!!! The women sew/quilt and fellowship until noon. At this time, those who wish can go home or can stay and have lunch (bring your own sack lunch) and have more social interaction. This is a casual lunch time and all women are welcome.
