September - May Schedule

SUNDAY: 
Choir ~ Each Sunday morning {September through May} at 9:00am the choir gathers to rehearse.  No previous experience is needed – just a love of singing and a desire to spread the joy of the Lord through song.

Sunday School ~ We offer classes for all ages, children, middle school, high school and adult.  Classes meet each Sunday morning at 9:45am.    Everyone is welcome.

Nursery ~ A Nursery is provided for little ones birth to three.  Our attendant has been with the church for a number of years and is very experienced in taking care of small children.  She is loved by all and very responsible.

Worship ~ We offer a more or less traditional worship service.  If you would like to see a sample of our Worship service,  please go to the section labeled Bulletin.  The service begins at 11:00 am.  We often take time to greet those around us and to make announcements.  The children {3 yrs - 4^th grade} join us for the first part of the service and then are dismissed to attend their own Jr. Church.  A cry room with speakers is offered,if needed, so you can be a part of the service while also experiencing privacy.   Traditional hymns are sung and NIV is generally used for scripture.  Communion is served the first Sunday of each month and all Believers are welcome to partake.

Youth group  6:00pm  ~  experienced leadership provides a variety of activities, learning opportunities and worship experiences for middle-school and senior high young people. 

WEDNESDAY:

Free Dinner ~ We offer a free dinner Wednesday evenings. Please feel free to call the church office at 509-924-1234 ext. 1, if you have questions.  Each Wednesday at 6pm we meet for dinner and Bible Study.  The dinners range from simple soup and sandwiches to beef stroganoff and somtimes it is a potluck dinner, where you bring a dish to share.  Green salad, dessert and beverages are always provided.  

Bible Study ~ Following dinner, a Bible study is offered for those who so desire.  Past studies have looked into specific books of the Bible; DVD studies with Anne Graham Lotz {I Saw the Lord}, Rick Warren {The Purpose Driven Church}; personal studies {Getting Along with Others}; Advent and Passion (Easter) Studies. The time frame is approximately one hour.  If you are searching for Christian knowledge, we invite you to join us and we will learn together.

Youth Group ~  Experienced leadership provides a variety of activities, learning opportunities and worship experiences for middle-school and senior high young people. 
Kid’s Club ~ Children ages 3 through 5^th grade have their own special Bible study geared to a level they can understand.  Stories, crafts, games, and snacks are just a few of the fun things your child will experience in Kid’s Club.
Nursery ~ A Nursery is provided for little ones with the same attendant who is in the nursery on Sundays.

MONTHLY:

American Baptist Women {ABW} ~ meet the third Wednesday of each month from September through May at 10am at the church.  The women get together to create quilts that are then donated to Spokane Valley Partners.  In 2008, thirty-one quilts of varing sizes were given to SVP.  The women sew/quilt and fellowship until noon.  At this time, those who wish go home or you can stay and have lunch (bring your own sack lunch) and have more social interaction.  All women are welcome.
